Serve these crunchy Italian-flavored croutons in your favorite salad and soup recipes, or use them in a savory bread casserole. Make a big batch and store them in an air-tight container. They'll be good to use for a few days.

Ingredients
Cooking spray
4 spray(s)
Reduced-calorie oatmeal bread
2 slice(s), frozen
Italian seasoning
¼ tsp
Garlic salt
1 pinch(es), or to taste
Kosher salt
1 pinch(es), or to taste
Black pepper
1 pinch(es), or to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 375℉. Coat a small baking pan with cooking spray.
2
Place the frozen slices of bread on top of each other. Using a serrated knife, cut the bread into even, bite-size squares (4 rows of 5 squares per slice). Place the bread squares in a medium bowl and coat with cooking spray. Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, and toss to coat.
3
Spread the bread on the prepared pan in an even layer. Bake the croutons until lightly browned and crispy, shaking the pan once, 7 to 10 minutes. Let cool.
4
Serving size: 1/2 of the croutons (about 1/2 cup)
